Iesi is a town and comune of the province of Ancona in Marche, Italy. It is an important industrial and artistic center in the floodplain on the left bank of the Esino River, 17 kilometres before its mouth on the Adriatic Sea. This is a city of Verdicchio wine and medieval walls.
My home town, Acqualagna, is just 91 km from Jesi.

Artist Biography
Cecilia Anastos is a self-taught, Italian-American painter. Using oil or acrylic on canvas, paper or wood, Ms. Anastos paints landscapes, cityscapes, and figurative compositions. Sometimes, she expresses her emotions through abstract paintings. Brightly colored and uplifting, her paintings tell stories that touch the relationship of sentient beings with the environment, and the joys and struggles of women around the world.
