For years I have painted horses and horses with riders following a spiritual experience with a white stallion on an Arizona Highway.  in 2021 I began a series of horse “portraits.”  As with my human portraits, my goal is to capture the essence of each horse’s personality.  I work the painting, tearing apart the horse’s head and rebuilding it until that personality emerges.
