“Winter Chill” was created from a royalty free image from Getty Images. The abandoned truck is located in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, although I place it on old farmland during the chill of winter. I played with landscape sketches to come up with a believable placement for the truck.  After deciding on the composition the other elements of the painting (color, tone, line, shape, space, and texture) fell into place.
