German artist Cordula Rock artist statement:
I find inspiration for my work mainly in the overwhelming variety of shapes and colors in nature.
Because nothing is “more perfect” than the miracle of nature.
I prefer “abstract painting”; In relation to representational painting, it opens up an “unlimited space” for me, which the artist has with his own
Imagination of shapes and colors is allowed to fill, but does not “have to be completely filled”. In this way, abstract work also enables a “formulation” of the indescribable and the inexpressible.
The focus of my works is often the “interpersonal relationship” with all its facets. Image motivations arise from observations of everyday life situations. In these works I focus on making the viewer think, possibly even rethink.
Understanding, consideration, compassion and patience are the “companions” of the above all “love”, which is the cornerstone of every kind of interpersonal relationship.
Since I am also very interested in the development of writing as well as in philosophy, occasional words or even entire texts flow into my image design.
The “mindfulness” in daily life opens my eyes again and again for the “love” inherent in everything.
For me, “creative energy” arises in “letting this natural force flow”.
