For several years, my family visited Costa Rica and we loved frequenting the roadside produce markets to keep our residence stocked during our stay. We spotted this old farm truck abandoned by one of the market owners near San Jose and I kept the photo for a few years before painting this picture. The beat-up right fender was placed in the center foreground to highlight its interesting dents, paint color and overall character.
