Done with scraping tools, palette knives, and brushes, I was listening to “Under My Umbrella” and created this small piece that is now framed in a silver frame. I got lost in the image and any time I wanted to escape, I looked at this painting and found peace. I recalled all the times I was walking to classes in the rain either with an umbrella or without one (because I couldn’t find it) and it just brought back so many memories to me, not to mention the film “Singing in the Rain,” which I still tend to do from time to time.
